Do you like hockey draft pools? Poolee is for you!

Have you sat around with friends scratching names off of a paper sheet? Has someone brought in a different list of players to pick from causing everyone to ask, "what number is that?" Or "where is that player?" Worse yet what about the dreaded person who calls in to make their picks? Always slowing down the whole process. Well now theres Poolee.

Poolee allows you to create your own hockey pool, set how many points each player gets for various stats and then present you with a pick list of hockey players. The list is complete with stats including the points calculated based of the rules you setup. Its the pick sheet in electronic form. BUT, thats not the best part. Other Poolee players can then join your pool either via WIFI or over the Internet. Once the pool starts the players can then pick their players in turn simply by touching them in the list. The best part? Each time a player is picked, it is crossed off of everyones list on their own device. No more searching for a player to cross them off. No longer will you be ridiculed for picking a player that has already been picked.

Poolee is smart as well. If a number of players are on the same WIFI network Poolee will seek them out to find a hosted pool. Also why waste all that bandwidth for each player to download the stats? Poolee will query other players on the WIFI network if they already have the stats and load them directly from device to device. This makes joining a pool quick and saves the hit to your internet connection. This is especially great if you share your cellular network using the personal hotspot feature of iOS. Now you can host a pool at your neighbourhood pub even if it doesnt have WIFI!

But what if someone doesnt have Poolee? Poolee is ready there as well. The person running the pool (the Pool Master) can add them into the pool and do the picks for them as they call them out. Thus keeping everyone elses list up to date automatically. Poolee even has a search feature that will automatically narrow down the list as you type in the search box.

Not only can you search for a player but you can sort the list too! Sort by player name, team name, position, goals, assists, points, just about anything you would need to make a well informed pick.

Finally an app that does it all and makes the hockey draft pool fun and quick so you can get back to enjoying the evening with friends.
